PRAYER
Today’s Scripture: Psalm 145:17-18 [GWT] “The Lord is fair in all His ways and faithful in everything He does. 18 The Lord is near to everyone who prays to Him, to every faithful person who prays to Him.”
God wants to talk with you more in 2025. God wants you to know Him, intimately. He wants you to know Him as a loving and caring Father. Prayer is the way to have a relationship with Him. Prayer is primarily seen as a two-way dialogue between you and God. It's not just about making requests but expressing gratitude, confessing sins, and simply connecting with God in worship and adoration. Martin Luther, a German priest, Theologian and Religious Reformer, said, “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” Prayer is our “lifeline” to God. A New Beginning in 2025 is to simply, pray.

Scripture
Colossians 4:2 [NLT] “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.”
Confession: I will be devoted to praying. When I am praying, my mind will be alert the voice of my Father and I will offer thanksgiving for all the God has done for me. I will pray.
Psalm 18:6 [CEV] “I was in terrible trouble when I called out to You, but from your temple You heard me and answered my prayer.”
Confession: I am thankful that when I am in trouble or in a bad place in my life, when I pray, my Father hears me, and He answers my prayer. I know that my God loves and cares about me in my time of distress. When I am troubled, distressed, worried, or fearful, I will pray.
Matthew 6:9-10 [NIV] “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. 10 Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’”
Confession: I bless the name of my God. You are Jehovah-Shalom, You are my peace. You are Jehovah-Shamah, You are always present in my life. You are Jehovah-Rapha, You are the one who heals me. You are Jehovah-Jireh, You are the one who provides for me. You are Jehovah-Nissi, You are a banner of protection that covers me. You are Jehovah-Rohi, You are my shepherd. You are Jehovah-M’Kaddesh, You are my sanctification. And You are Jehovah-Tsidkenu, You are my righteousness. I pray for Your Kingdom, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, to come, and Your will, for all mankind to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth, to be done on earth as it is in heaven. I will pray.

Prayer
Father, I ask for Your forgiveness for not praying more consistently. I want to know You better. Holy Spirit, help me to communicate with my Father on a consistent basis. I desire to fellowship with You by reading Your Word, worshiping, and by praying and spending time with You. I am determined to pray. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.
