MENTALLY

Today’s Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7 [NLT] “Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. 7 Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

How are you doing mentally as we enter the New Year of 2025? God cares about your mental state and that you are healthy, not only in body, but also in your mind. Because of the world’s disorder many people are finding it harder and harder for their minds to rest and be at ease. Is your mind racing all the time? Do you find it difficult to keep your thoughts together? Are you not able to sleep very well due to your mind not wanting to shut down? There is good news for our mental state. God’s peace can and will guard your mind. The key to this is “living in Christ.” Living in Christ is speaking and praying what the Word of God says about your mental state. This is how we live in peace of mind concerning this life. You can be mentally strong and stable. That is good news for 2025.

Scripture

Isaiah 26:3 [ESV] “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

Confession: I will trust in God. I desire the perfect peace from my Father. I will do my very best, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to keep my mind (thoughts, dreams, imaginations) on You.

Proverbs 14:30 [NCV] “Peace of mind means a healthy body.”

Confession: I desire for my lifetime on earth to be lived in a healthy body. Jesus’s peace will give me a healthy mind. I choose to fill my mind with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.

Psalm 23:1-3 [GWT] “The Lord is my shepherd. I am never in need. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me beside peaceful waters. 3 He renews my soul.”

Confession: I am thankful that the Lord renews my soul. Lord, I ask that You renew my soul daily. Holy Spirit, help me to renew my soul through reading the Word of God, spending time in prayer, and worshiping Jesus.

Prayer

Father, I am so grateful that You are my Shepherd and You renew my soul. I ask for strength and guidance so that I can keep my thoughts, dreams, imaginations, and what I dwell on in line with scripture concerning my mental state. I ask You to give me a sound mind and that I will allow Your peace to infiltrate all my thoughts and ideas. I have the mind of Christ. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.
